Overview: We are looking for a skilled Automated Tester (Freelancer) to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience in automating website performance testing and generating comprehensive performance reports. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring optimal website performance, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities: Automate the performance testing of our website to ensure a high-quality user experience. Develop and maintain automated scripts to track website performance metrics. Generate and send hourly performance reports detailing: - Number of visitors to the website - SEO strength - Performance score Traffic: - Total visitors: The number of unique visitors to the website. - Pageviews: The total number of pages viewed on the website. Engagement: - Bounce rate: The percentage of visitors who leave the website after viewing only one page. - Pages per session: The average number of pages viewed during a session. Retention: - Returning visitors: The percentage of visitors who return to the website within a specified period. Performance: - Page load time: The time it takes for a webpage to fully load in a browser. - Server response time: The time it takes for the web server to respond to a request from a browser. - Error rate: The percentage of requests that result in errors, such as 404 Not Found errors. SEO: - Organic traffic: The number of visitors who come to the website via search engine results pages. Security: - SSL certificate status: Whether the website has a valid SSL certificate to encrypt data transmitted between the user's browser and the web server. - Analyze performance data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement. - Collaborate with the development team to resolve performance-related issues. - Stay updated with the latest tools and trends in website performance testing and automation. Requirements: - Proven experience in automated website performance testing. - Proficiency in using performance testing tools such as Google Lighthouse, WebPageTest, or similar. - Strong understanding of web analytics and SEO metrics. - Ability to develop and maintain automated testing scripts using tools like Selenium, Cucumber, JMeter, or similar. - Experience with performance monitoring and reporting tools. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication skills to effectively report findings and collaborate with the team.
